An extensive two-month voyage around the Australian Coast was terminated in the wake of the death of an senior woman who was left behind by the ship on a remote tropical isle.

The elderly woman had been walking on Lizard Island with shipmates from the cruise ship, but separated from the party for a pause. The liner sailed away leaving her and came back several hours later after the ship staff became aware the passenger was unaccounted for.
